Kalau kamu pernah nonton video di youtube. Mungkin kamu pernah melihat iklan dis

amping video, dibawah video, dan mungkin sebelum video dimulai ada iklan yang bisa di-skip. Ini adalah macam-macam iklan space yang dijual youtube.
Harganya untuk iklan space ini tentu berbeda-beda. Kalau iklan yang disamping video itu relatif lumayan murah. Tetapi iklan yang muncul sebelum video itu mulai, itu bisa cukup mahal. Lebih kurang 45% dari uang-uang tersebut dialihkan ke youtube dan sisanya 55% untuk youtubers.
Setiap youtubers memiliki CPM yang berbeda. CPM itu cost per thousand artinya setiap 1000     orang yang menonton video tersebut. Kamu akan mendapatkan uang tertentu. Misalkan CPM kamu adalah 5 dollar artinya setiap iklan itu ditonton. Kamu akan mendapatkan 5 dolar dan setelah youtube mengambil 45 % bagiannya.  Kamu dapat sisanya 2,75 dolar.
Mungkin kamu berpikir, kalau penontonku mencapai 1000000 artinya aku mendapat 2750 dolar. Jawabanya tidak. Pertama-tama kalau kamu mau mendapat uang dari youtube. Kamu harus menjadi youtube partner. Kalau kamu sudah menjadi youtube partner kamu sudah menjadi youtuber. Youtuber hanya dapat uang dari monetized views. Monetized view itu ketika orangnya betul-betul klik iklannya atau menonton iklannya sampai habis. Youtube juga tidak menjual iklan di setiap video. Tidak semua video memiliki video yang bisa di-skip. Misalkan 1000000 yang menonton video. Mungkin hanya 250.000 yang monetized. Jadi kamu tidak dapat 2750 dolar, tapi kamu dapat 687,5 dolar. Tapi itu perlu CPM 5 dolar.
Jika CPM kamu hanya 2 dolar. Dari 1000000 penonton hanya 250000 yang monetized, maka kamu dapat 500 dolar. Setelah youtube mendapatkan 45%,  kamu hanya mendapatkan 275 dolar. Selanjutnya....
